The violet leaf gives it this unexpected green sharpness that keeps the citrus from feeling flat or sugary. I wore it on a warm afternoon and the chinotto really came through, like sitting in a sunlit piazza. It’s bright but not childish, and the dry-down lasted well past dinner.
The blood orange and green mandarin hit first—bright and juicy—then the chinotto adds that bitter edge that keeps it from being too sweet. I sprayed it on before a beach walk and could still catch the citrus rind and violet leaf on my collar five hours later.
Opened it on a scorching afternoon and the blood orange hits instantly, sharp and sweet like real rinds. The chinotto keeps it grounded, not cloying at all. Lasted surprisingly well through a humid evening, which I didn’t expect from a citrus.
